TLC Healthcare has been recognised as an Australian Business Award Employer of Choice for the eighth year running, together with winning awards for Marketing Excellence and Communications Excellence for the marketing of TLC Mordialloc, Australia’s first multigenerational healthcare precinct.
In addition, TLC Healthcare’s Mordialloc precinct was a finalist in The Urban Developer awards in the category of Excellence in Design Innovation. This innovative healthcare precinct is also a finalist in the UDIA Awards 2023 for Seniors’ Living, with winners announced in December 2023.
Furthermore, TLC is a 2023 Global Healthy Workplace (GHW) Award winner. The Global Centre for Healthy Workplaces (GCHW) supports the advancement of workplace health and well-being through a series of initiatives designed to enhance shared learning, recognition and replication. It seeks to create a healthier and more productive working experience for all employers and employees, irrespective of their size, location or circumstances.
GHWC's recent summit, hosted in partnership with the University of Northampton, welcomed 100 delegates for three days to appraise what the best organisations are doing in areas from designing the modern workplace to preparing for artificial intelligence. TLC reached finalist status and was invited to present their submission to an international judging panel, where they were judged the winner of the Large Employer category.
TLC Healthcare CEO, Lou Pascuzzi says “These awards and shortlisted entries are a testament to the innovation and creativity of team TLC. To be recognised as an Employer of Choice for eight years running is an incredible achievement. And to be recognised globally for our work in providing a healthy workplace for employees is just outstanding, and should set the benchmark for others in our category.
“And as our mission is to be leaders in innovative and integrated healthcare services, renowned for providing wellbeing to communities, these awards recognise and validate everything our people do to make healthcare more accessible in local communities. From bringing the young and the elderly together through our intergenerational program between our aged care residents and children at TLC Early Learning, to providing co-located medical centres, health clubs, allied health and commercial cafés, there’s absolutely no reason why healthcare across the generations needs to be isolating, institutionalized, impersonal and difficult to access”, says Pascuzzi.
“A significant driver of engagement with our people is TLC’s 100 Days of Health program, which is also a huge contributor to our culture across all employee groups. It’s a great way to promote all-round health in the workplace, have loads of fun and a bit of healthy competition.
“We’ve run the program over the past eight years as we believe that our employees should have fun while at work. Our residents often join in on the fun. This clearly demonstrates how our well being philosophy is not just for our employee groups and families. It extends to entire communities in which we operate our businesses.
“TLC will continue to push ground-breaking shifts in community care and aged care models, with the objective of creating integrated healthcare precincts that cater to individuals across all stages of life”, Pascuzzi added.
