Sharing the Christmas Joy: Arcare Surrey Hills’ French Pen Pals

On Friday 12 January, Arcare Surrey Hills shared the warmth of Australian Christmas traditions with a heartfelt response to the thoughtful letter from a group of year 7 students in northern France, from Houdin, Pas-de-Calais.

The students' curiosity about how Australians celebrate Christmas prompted the residents to reflect on their own lives in Australia. Graciously taking the time to read and respond, the residents penned letters filled with stories and memories, eagerly awaiting the students' reply.

It's a beautiful exchange of cultures and experiences, bridging the miles through the power of shared words and connections and beginning what will hopefully be a long and fulfilling relationship between Arcare Surrey Hills residents and the French students.
