Colouring the Golden Years: A Showcase of Creativity at Arcare Birtinya

Residents at Arcare Birtinya recently displayed their creative talents at their art show. Residents such as Suzannah Taylor were delighted to discuss their art and what makes it meaningful to them.

Art of many different media was on show: there were oil paintings, crafts, stitchwork and even a dress!

Many of the residents, like Suzannah, have been artists all their lives.

“[I started] when I was about eight. Colouring in mostly and watercolour. And I did art in high school”.

The residence’s art club also had a couple of displays of their weekly activities, as art is very important to the residents at Arcare Birtinya.

Suzannah puts it best when talking about her art: “It’s been a great joy for me”.
