Leading South Australian not-for-profit aged care services and retirement living provider ACH Group has welcomed two new Board members.
Trusted senior executive Tracey Scott and accomplished legal practitioner Scott Long have joined the organisation as Non-Executive Directors.
ACH Group Chair Imelda Lynch said the announcement followed the recent launch of ACH Group’s new strategy, Shaping Tomorrow, Together.
“We are delighted to welcome Tracey and Scott to ACH Group,” Ms Lynch said.
“Their depth of expertise, particularly across financial management, regulation and compliance, consolidates - and complements - our highly skilled and experienced board.”
Ms Lynch said the appointments were in line with ACH Group’s vision of being the fullservice aged care provider of choice for older South Australians.
“Our new strategy is underpinned by a significant investment in our services, our people, and our assets to improve the wellbeing and positive health outcomes for everyone we work with,” Ms Lynch said.
“These appointments further strengthen our governance – a key pillar in the strategy – and our unwavering commitment to supporting good lives for older people.”
Ms Scott has more than two decades’ experience on boards and committees across the notfor-profit and Government sectors including as Deputy Chair and Treasurer of SIDS and Kids NT and Treasurer of Nightcliff Community and (part of Bendigo Bank Community). She is also a member of SA’s Independent Commission Against Corruption’s Risk and Audit Committee.
Tracey has held long-standing executive and non-executive roles with the Department of Treasury and Finance in South Australia and Northern Territory. This has included the position of Executive Director Financial Management Reporting and Policy, as well as serving as SA Lotteries Commissioner.
Mr Long has an extensive background in regulation, corporate governance and commercial law. He has undertaken senior leadership roles in private firms and companies and been inhouse general counsel across sectors spanning defence and higher education, including the University of Adelaide.
Now a Director and Lawyer at PMDW, Mr Long’s focus includes commercial transactions, procurement, technology, software, licencing, compliance, insurance, industrial relations and dispute resolution.
He was previously an Advisory Board Member with the University of Adelaide Law School and served as Chair of the Elizabeth Bowey Lodge Foundation responsible for managing funds for an NDIS not-for-profit organisation.
Both Ms Scott and Mr Long are graduates of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
