Valentine’s Day at Mayflower Reservoir: A Celebration of Love and Joy

At Mayflower Reservoir, Valentine’s Day wasn’t just about romance – it was a heartwarming celebration of love, joy, and connection for all. Residents, families, and staff came together to create a truly special day filled with laughter, entertainment, and sweet treats.

One of the highlights of the day was a delightful puppet show by Puppets Alive, a leading provider of puppet therapy.

The performance captivated residents, bringing smiles and laughter to all. Elvis the puppet even made a special appearance, serenading the ladies with his smooth talk and charming persona – leaving more than a few hearts swooning!

To mark the occasion, every resident received a beautiful single-stem rose, ensuring that everyone felt included in the celebration.

Families joined in the fun, sharing precious moments with their loved ones, while an indulgent afternoon tea added to the festivities. The atmosphere was further elevated by a giant inflatable teddy bear and delectable heart-shaped cookies, lovingly prepared by our talented in-house chefs.

“That’s Amore!”

Residents and their loved ones were also able to enjoy an Italian Lavazza coffee at the newly opened Café Amore at Mayflower Reservoir.

This initiative, in partnership with the Endeavour Foundation, provides meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Our ethos aligns perfectly – compassion, empowerment, and embracing diversity – making Café Amore a truly special addition to our community.
