The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) commenced on 1 July 2015 and is accessible only through the new aged care system called My Aged Care.

The CHSP is designed to provide all older Australians with information and connections with appropriate entry-level home support services to assist with daily living. The aim of the CHSP is to help older Australians stay independent and in their homes and communities for longer. Carers of older people will also receive support under the CHSP.

To determine if you are eligible for CHSP, you will need to call the My Aged Care Contact Centre on 1800 200 422.
