My Aged Care Online Account, linked through myGov, is a secure online portal giving older Australians and their representatives easy access to essential information - from aged care approvals and service details to care plans and communication history - all in one convenient place. Whether you're checking your eligibility, updating your contact details, or managing care for a loved one, the My Aged Care Online Account offers a clear, simple way to stay on top of your aged care support.

  • Viewing your Aged Care ID (starts with 'AC')
  • Updating contact details and notification preferences
  • Checking eligibility & approvals for services, including referral codes for providers
  • Accessing letters, documents, support plans, and service summaries
How to Set Up Your Account

1. Register with My Aged Care

  • If you're new, apply online (takes  around 10–15 minutes) or call 1800 200 422 to register
  • If already assessed, you likely have a client record and can skip this step

2. Create/Sign in to myGov

  • Visit myGov and either sign in or register (via email/Digital ID)
  • myGov is a gateway to multiple services including My Aged Care, Medicare, and Centrelink

3. Link to My Aged Care

  • Inside myGov, choose Link a service, then select My Aged Care
  • Provide your Aged Care ID, Medicare/Veterans/Centrelink number, and confirm your details
  • Once completed, the My Aged Care tile appears on your dashboard - click it to access your account
Navigating Your Online Account

After logging in via myGov, you'll see your Online Account is organised into coloured tiles - each representing a different area:

Services View current services, service providers, and generate referral codes

Notifications View all SMS/email alerts from My Aged Care

If you're a representative or agent for someone else (e.g. family member), you can:

  1. Register with My Aged Care → receive your own client record
  2. Link to your own myGov account
  3. Access the person’s account through yours
