All are large single rooms with en-suites. There are separate kitchens on each of the four wings for residents to access for preparing their own meals or drinks.
We have registered and enrolled nurses, carers, occupational therapist, occupational and physiotherapy assistants. All meals are prepared on-site in the Hellenic Community Aged Care kitchen. All facility managers and administration is on-site.
Activities are an important part of Hellenic Community Aged Care. Therapeutic music, singing, dancing, games and exercise programs are provided to meet resident needs. Craft, bingo, discussion groups, and visits to the local shopping centres and bus trips are part of the activities program. Residents are taken on a midday outings for lunch or a picnic/barbecue at various times during the year. Residents and their families are encouraged to attend social occasions.
Hellenic Community Aged Care is a multicultural environment with residents from a variety of religious and cultural backgrounds.
Hellenic Community Aged Care is located at Hellenic Drive, adjacent to St Andrew’s Grammar which gives a close sense of community. Students visit Hellenic Community Aged Care to sing and dance for the residents on special occasions such as Mother’s and Father’s days, and for community contact. Shopping centres are close by.
SINGLE ROOM Standard Room with private ensuite. Built-in robe and vanity. Reverse cycle air conditioner. Vinyl floor. Mechanical or electric bed allows height adjustment, and tilt back. Television and telephone connection. Nurse call pendant in bedroom and ensuite. Ceiling mounted reading light. Night light to ensuite. All rooms are approximately between 20m2 to 22m2 large.
