The stunning brand new home opened in August 2017 and is located at the beautiful Kewarra Beach. This is approximately 20kms north of Cairns airport and conveniently situated next to Kewarra Retirement Village.
The home is set within this charming small coastal town offering a relaxed lifestyle. It is within a stone’s throw of the golden sands that make up the tranquil shore line.
We provide permanent residential accommodation, dementia specific and related care and respite services.
Accommodation options include single and double suites. Therefore, couples can stay together.

Friday 2 June was World Italian Day, and while traditionally the day is to commemorate the institutional referendum post the second world war, many people round the globe take the opportunity to celebrate the wonderful food and culture of this much-loved country.
When he’s not travelling Australia performing, classical singer, Paul Carey, volunteers his time to entertain residents at Kewarra Aged Care each month. This month, residents enjoyed his exquisite performance of Ava Maria by Schubert along with a host of other wonderful songs that made for a very memorable morning.
Every birthday is a reason to celebrate at Kewarra Aged Care, but this one was extra special. Beloved resident, Noela, turned 102 recently and this significant milestone was yet another opportunity to celebrate this wonderful lady.
70 years of marriage is traditionally celebrated with the gift of platinum. The precious metal symbolises the strength, rarity, endurance, and purity of true love. For Edna and Edwin (Roy) Hopton, these qualities perfectly capture the special relationship between the pair.
The work of the wonderful team at Kewarra Aged Care was recognised when they recently received the highest possible rating in all assessments for the Australian Government accreditation. Brenda Hand, Facility Manager at Kewarra, said, "I’m so proud to lead a team of passionate, dedicated, and committed professionals. They go above and beyond every day to make sure our residents receive the care and compassion that they deserve."
Kewarra Aged Care has opened its doors. The brand new home is conveniently located at Kewarra Beach, next to Kewarra Retirement Village and can provide accommodation for over 90 residents in comfort and style.
