Part of MercyCare

“A place is only as good as the people you know in it. It's the people that make the place.” – there couldn’t be truer words for MercyCare Joondalup Residential Aged Care Home.

At MercyCare Joondalup, it’s the staff that make the difference. Many of our staff have been with us for years and know the importance of working in partnership with residents and families to ensure personalised care.

Qualified nurses are on duty and all residents have access to therapy activities and other health services.

MercyCare Joondalup is built on a sense of home where you can feel comfortable where close relationships are built between staff and residents.

Residents love the large single rooms which each have their own private ensuite. Residents can freely access the communal areas across two levels, or the atrium off the dining space or courtyards. Reading and socialising nooks looking outdoors are dotted throughout the home.

Residents are an important part of the local community and can enjoy regular outings, whether it’s a scenic coastal drive or picnic in the park. Dedicated volunteers regularly visit offering companionship and activities.

Families are free visit, partner with us to celebrate special occasions or to simply share a meal.

Life your way

At MercyCare we believe everyone deserves to live their best life. That’s why at our Aged Care homes we put you at the centre of everything we do.

Our highly trained and compassionate team of nurses, care workers and therapists get to know you, listen to your unique story and take the time to understand your individual needs to support you to live life your way.

Our homes offer complete peace of mind you are in safe hands, with assistance available 24 hours a day.

Each of our homes are connected to the vibrancy of their surrounding communities, linked to the children at our Early Learning Centres, our team of dedicated volunteers and local community events and programs.

Care with heart

Our staff chosen for their skills, knowledge and experience, but also for their values and commitment to making a difference to the everyday lives of older people.

Our care is truly personalised to meet resident’s individual and unique needs

We take the time to talk with you and your family with the aim to learn about your history, values, hobbies and passions so you can maintain a purposeful life that is rich and rewarding.

We encourage residents to continue doing the things they love

A change of home doesn’t mean you should stop doing the things you love in life. The MercyCare team encourages you to explore what is important for you across therapy, lifestyle and spirituality. Have you always had a passion for being outdoors? Love reading? A committed member of the community? Need podiatry? Want physiotherapy? Whatever your individual passions and activities we can tailor a program specific to you that you can share with family and friends.

Our staff build relationships

We have never simply been about service delivery. Our staff care with heart, nurturing deep relationships built on trust and understanding. Many of our staff have been with us for years and understand what it is to care with compassion and courage.

We treasure the lessons you’ve learnt in life

You are an important part of the community and we understand you have plenty of wisdom to give. That’s one of the reasons for MercyCare’s leading intergenerational program which regularly brings aged care residents and young children from MercyCare’s early learning centres together.
