The small and friendly facility caters to 36 in single rooms with shared bathrooms and single room units with ensuites. Beds are available for low level care dementia patients when required. All rooms include an adjustable bed, curtains for privacy, a reverse-cycle air-conditioner, built-in-robe, lockable cupboard, chair and over-bed table. Windows are fitted with flyscreens and security screen for ultimate comfort and safety.
Common areas are scattered throughout the facility, giving residents ample space for relaxation, recreation and entertaining friends and family. There are homely, comfortable lounge areas, homelike kitchens, dining areas, attractive garden courtyards, BBQ areas with tables, chairs and overhead sail cloths, paved walkways through manicured gardens, a men’s area with pool table and an onsite kiosk.
The residents tend to the plants in the garden, overseen by the resident pets, including birds, goannas and goldfish that live in the courtyard enclosurs.
At no extra cost, residents have access to a range of allied health professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians, podiatrists, speech pathologists and nurse practitioners.
At a cost, residents can access hairdressing, telephone and Foxtel, as well as be provided with accompanied visits to appointments.
SINGLE ROOM Standard Room with private ensuite. Sunshine Park has 32 single rooms with shared bathroom facilities, and 4 single units with private ensuites. All the rooms are in very good condition with excellent paint work and floor coverings. Each room features built-in robes, lockable cupboard, chair, adjustable bed, over bed table, and reverse cycle air-conditioning. The majority of rooms over look pretty gardens or courtyards. Beds are also available for low care dementia patients, as and when required. Respite rooms are available on request. 12.4m2.
