Resthaven Opens New Office at Sefton Park

With a presence in the area for 30 years, on Monday 20 May, Resthaven Paradise & Eastern Community Services officially opened a new, larger office at 255 Main North Road, Sefton Park. 

Guests included Steve Georganas MP (Federal Member for Adelaide), Dana Wortley (State Member for Torrens), and Claire Boan (Mayor, City of Port Adelaide Enfield), who enjoyed a tour of the new premises.

Since February 2024, MACG has been a part of the ABI Early Adopters Program, making her home in MACG's Northern Gardens and Grand Cedar residences.

De-escalation VR Training for Behavioural Emergencies Set to Revolutionise Dementia Education

Dementia Australia has just launched D-Esc, a new innovative virtual reality (VR) training workshop for de-escalating a behavioural emergency in a care setting. D-Esc provides an immersive simulation, designed for frontline and health care professionals, to adopt an interactive approach to de-escalation training. Participants will build empathy and understanding towards people with dementia, with the aim to reduce the use of restrictive practices and the number and severity of dangerous incidents in care.
