New Community Housing Units Officially Opened in Glen Iris

Last month, the Hon Kelly O’Dwyer MP officially opened 23 newly constructed one-bedroom units at mecwacare’s Glen Iris Community Housing development.

The additional units have nearly doubled the number of community housing units available to disadvantaged older people and/or people with disabilities bringing the total at the site to 54 units.

The development is located in the City of Stonnington close to public transport, shops and services, yet situated in a bushland setting beside Gardiners Creek.

The completion of this development brings mecwacare’s community housing portfolio to over 90 units across three locations in Glen Iris, Sandringham and Beaumaris.
