Private in-home care services are fee-for-service home care options that are not subsidised by the Australian Government. Home care services that are subsidised (either in part of in full) by the Australian Government are called Home Care Packages. If you receive a Home Care Package but need support before your Home Care Package becomes available or need additional hours or services, private in-home care is ideal.

Private in-home care services are funded by you. This means that you can access home care services at any age for any length of time without needing a government assessment (ACAT/ACAS).

Many home care providers offer private in-home care services and support to people of all ages and needs including disability support, aged care, post-operative care, dementia care and palliative care.

Private in-home care services can be tailored to meet your individual care needs. Whether you need help for as little as 30 minutes a week or 24-hours a day, private in-home care providers will design a care program just for you.
