mecwacare is proud to announce the opening of its new Home and Community Care Services office in the picturesque seaside town of Inverloch.
The new office, located at 14 Reilly Street, is mecwacare’s first in the Gippsland region and began providing a range of care services on April 1. Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP), National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Private Care services will reach more than 1,000 clients across the region.
Local staff have been recruited to provide these services to their local community.
Home and Community Care Services support clients to live in their own homes for longer. Some of the many services that can be offered in the home include personal care, domestic assistance, respite care, home maintenance, delivered meals and social support. They are designed to maximise clients’ quality of life based on their individual needs, which may include anything from cleaning the home, assistance attending a medical appointment or simply taking a walk in the fresh sea air. mecwacare is here to provide assistance and arrives in the region with 60 years’ experience caring for the Victorian community.
“This geographical expansion into regional Victoria is in line with mecwacare’s strategic objective to reach more clients and to assist them to remain independently in their own homes. mecwacare looks forward to supporting the community of Gippsland into the future,” said Michele Lewis, mecwacare Chief Executive.
