Braemar Virtual Tours A Finalist in Prestigious National Award

on Tuesday, August 13, 2019

Braemar Presbyterian Care’s Virtual Tours have been selected as a finalist in the 2019 national Australian Marketing Institute Awards.

The Perth not-for-profit organisation was selected as a result of its ‘virtual tour’ initiative, which enables visitors to ‘virtually walk through’ each of its homes to explore the accommodation options and amenities.

This follows Braemar’s win of the AMI’s ‘Marketing on a Small Budget’ category in 2018 which recognised its efforts to build awareness of Braemar Village’s dementia services in Willagee, WA.

Chief Financial Officer of Braemar Presbyterian Care, Kristy Ryan, says becoming a finalist in the AMI awards for the second year running was a real achievement for the Braemar team.

“Our entire team is thrilled to have been notified that we are a finalist in these awards. We feel it is important to offer the community a digital method to explore our aged care facilities, as when residential aged care is needed it is often a stressful time for both residents and families,” Ms Ryan said.

Virtual tours at Braemar’s Cooinda facility in Melville, Braemar Village in Willagee and Braemar House in East Fremantle can now be undertaken online, with internet users able to gain a complete 360 degree view of each home.

Marketing & Brand Consultant Chris Frame (FAMI CPM) added, “Insights suggested that many future residents and their families wanted to see aged care facilities online, before making the decision to request a physical tour in person.

“The virtual tours offer people the ability to view Braemar’s aged care facilities from the comfort of their own home, and take a virtual walk-through of the facility to get a sense as to what is on offer here at Braemar.”

The organisation will find out if it has won the marketing excellence award at the AMI Gala, which will be held at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park on 16 October.
