Residents at Mercy Place Montrose got physical this week for the Olivia Newton John Wellness Walk and Research Run where they raised much needed funds to fight cancer.
80 residents at Mercy Place Montrose participated in a modified fun run alongside grandkids on school holidays, Mercy Health staff and builders from Mercy Place Montrose’s new small household living centre.
Competing in teams and racing around the home’s round-a-bout the event not only raised money but also promoted an active lifestyle for residents.
General Manager Bronwyn Gilmore said she was thrilled with how the day unfolded.
“It was great to see our residents, their families, our staff and the project team get so involved. We know we’ve got a brilliant community here at Mercy Place Montrose and it’s always fun to see everyone come out for a worthwhile cause like the Olivia Newton John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre.”
