Bethanie Esprit Cottages Mark Progress with Slab Party

on Thursday, December 12, 2019

Bethanie Esprit Cottage owners and neighbouring Village residents were joined by some members of the Bethanie Executive, Property Development and Sales teams on 10th December for a ‘slab party’, to mark progress within the first stage of construction of the 34-cottage development.

Held in the Bethanie Esprit Clubhouse, the afternoon invited new purchasers to join their village neighbours over drinks and nibbles and both see and hear about progress of the development.

To mark the occasion of the slabs going down, a commemorative plaque with each new purchaser’s name and cottage number engraved on it, was placed into the slab of each cottage recognising them as the first cottage residents.

Bethanie Chief Executive Officer Chris How said, “We are very pleased with progress and aside from works on the cottages themselves, a new wood storage shed workshop has also been built and is ready for fit out.”

Construction began in May 2019 and has progressed as planned with civil works complete including roads, footpaths, kerbage, street lighting, and drainage. Brickworks have also commenced and will carry through until Christmas and final landscaping plans are being drafted, ready to submit to council for approval.

Works have commenced on both Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the development and slabs are being poured across both stages, giving Bethanie a great reason to celebrate with their new purchasers.

17 of the 22 cottages from Stage 1 and 2 are already sold, with remaining cottages priced from $299,000. Prospective buyers are now encouraged to register their interest in Stage 3.

Chris adds, “Currently five slabs have been poured so this is a chance for new owners to walk through the site. Some of the 22 lots under construction already have bricks up, some are just a slab and others are not yet poured. However, all new owners will get a chance to see the cottages under construction at different stages and view their individualised commemorative plaque.”

The village’s architecturally designed cottages are safe, secure and easy to maintain with two bedrooms, full sized kitchen, courtyard and alfresco areas and a rear entry double garage.

Bethanie Esprit is an established, pet-friendly village with facilities such as a dedicated village manager, a clubhouse and gym, heated swimming pool, bowling green, mini golf, craft room, hair salon, library, bar and dining room, caravan parking and an active Men’s Shed.

Bunbury City centre is only a short drive or bus away, and the modern Eaton Fair Shopping Centre and medical facilities are in close proximity as is Bethanie Fields Retirement Village and Aged Care Home.

Bethanie Esprit Cottages are Bethanie’s latest retirement living project and Stage 1 is still on track for completion in April 2020 and Stage 2 will be complete mid-May 2020.
