Fronditha Care would like to thank our nursing heroes on this International Nurses Day. This year International Nurses Day comes with special significance. COVID19 has rightfully shone a light to the important work of nurses across the healthcare system.
We at Fronditha Care have close to 110 nurses on our staff (15% of our workforce), who play a huge role in the organisation.
Daily they make sure:
But during this heightened time, they’ve become integral in protecting our residents and our staff.
They’ve been making sure infection controls are being followed but are also trying to keep the residents connected to their families.
They’re juggling the need to be strict with preventative measure but also compassionate to the needs of the residents.
While Fronditha Care has avoided any COVID19 infections in the organisation, it understands how quickly things can spread. Particularly we have been saddened by the reports in NSW of nursing homes seeing large numbers of positive cases and deaths.
Over the course of the pandemic, more than 481 healthcare workers have been infected with COVID-19 in Australia.
They are the front-line soldiers to this pandemic war.
They are the ones putting on the PPE armour and charging into this blind enemy.
They’re the brave ones, and they’re the ones keeping us alive.
Thank you.
