Greenway Views Wins Development of the Year

Nominated by design partner, Gray Puksand, Greenway Views won Development of the Year in the Retirement, Aged Care and Senior Living category at the third annual The Urban Developer Awards. The award recognises excellence in the development of projects in the retirement and aged care, independent living, assisted living or seniors living sector.

Greenway Views is the second village from LDK Seniors’ Living (LDK) and its 50:50 joint venture partner, real estate investor and manager, Cromwell Property Group (Cromwell) (ASX:CMW).

Cromwell’s Head of Property, Bobby Binning, discussed Greenway Views’ beginnings as an unprecedented vision, through to becoming a Development of the Year winner.

“Cromwell’s vision, which is that we exist to look after people, aligns closely with that of LDK, who believe every elderly person in Australia deserves to be treated with love, decency and kindness. Through our joint venture partnership, Cromwell and LDK have been able to bring these visions to life,” stated Mr Binning.

Greenway Views, located in Tuggeranong, ACT, is Australia’s most advanced seniors’ living residential village, where ageing in place and a genuine quality of life prevail.

The Development of the Year award is a recognition of LDK’s commitment to, and belief that, Australia’s seniors should be treated with love, decency and kindness throughout their entire senior living journey.

“Utilising our adaptive reuse capabilities, in partnership with LDK, Gray Puksand and FDC Construction & Fitout, we have redeveloped a vacant office campus into a world class seniors’ living village offering the highest standards of care in a purpose-built community.”

“With the first three buildings – Arawang, Blundell and Cotter - operational, we are currently tendering construction to complete the remaining two buildings in 2021. It is an honour to have Greenway Views already named Development of the Year and is an exciting prospect that we will only continue to expand our offering at Tuggeranong,” concluded Mr Binning.

Designed by Gray Puksand, the considered approach to the development combines place, community and care, while empowering residents with a deserved sense of dignity.

The project breathes new life into five old campus-style office buildings. It will accommodate up to 500 residents across 380 apartments ranging in size from 50 sqm studio apartments to 120 sqm three-bedroom apartments.
