Christmas Cheer All Round at the Resthaven ‘Friday Club’

On 16 December, the Resthaven Marion Community Services ‘Friday Club’ was treated to a visit from Santa Claus, handing out presents to all clients – both naughty and nice! Coordinator, Monika Lyckholm, says, "Santa (aka Coordinator, Chris) arrived on his walker, much to everyone’s amusement."

"He then led a sing-along to White Christmas, before disappearing with his walker into the afternoon."

"The group also enjoyed a visit from another old friend, former Therapy Assistant, Michelle, and Head Office helper, Sara, who volunteered their time to help with food service, chatting with clients, followed by lots of washing up!"

"The group were delighted with their afternoon tea of sandwiches and sweet baked Christmas treats."

"The energy was high for our last group of the year, and it was lovely to see clients enjoying the Christmas spirit."

"The group will return in early January 2023, for some more Friday Club fun."

"We can’t wait to see what they get up to next year!"
