New Luxury Aged Care Residence Opens in Neutral Bay

on Tuesday, December 19, 2023

Luxury aged care living provider, Cranbrook Care, has opened the doors of its new lifestyle-focused aged care residence in Neutral Bay – Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe - an extension of its award-winning Lansdowne Gardens residence which has set a new standard for luxury aged care living on the lower North Shore.

Enjoying an idyllic location with views of Sydney Harbour Bridge, the city skyline and the glittering harbour, Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe is a unique, architecturally designed property combining a magnificent, restored heritage building with a new building which will offer the full spectrum of contemporary aged care services including physiotherapy, dementia care, palliative care, a café, library, and Reflections Wellness Centre with a gymnasium, massage room and hair and beauty salon.

Lee Carissa, CEO of Cranbrook Care, says interest in the new residence is high, with future residents, and their families, impressed by its bespoke design, elegant interiors, natural light, curated artworks, spacious accommodation, high-end fittings, 24/7 experienced registered nurses, and extensive lifestyle and leisure facilities – a hallmark of all Cranbrook Care properties.

“We design our residences for those who have high expectations and who seek quality and luxury without sacrificing warmth, personalised service, and genuine care. Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe will cater to significant rising demand from residents keen to stay in the area where they’ve lived independently without giving up the elevated standard of living they’re accustomed to. Our vision is to deliver a lifestyle which is comparable with leading hotels overlaid with a family-focused philosophy that prioritises mental and social wellbeing alongside clinical care,” explained Lee.

With spacious, light-filled interiors designed by Pike Withers and custom-designed furnishings and fixtures, residents can choose between private suites with ensuite bathrooms, kitchenettes and sitting areas, or shared suites for couples.

Elegantly appointed lounge and dining areas bring residents together, intimate private dining rooms are available for private use with visiting friends and relatives, and a series of cosy sitting areas, leafy courtyards and an onsite café are available for residents and their guests to enjoy.

Residents of Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe enjoy restaurant-quality a la carte meals prepared on-site by an Executive Chef as well as an extensive suite of enrichment activities coordinated by Lansdowne Gardens’ dedicated Lifestyle and Leisure team. Activities are designed to bond residents with one another and the broader community, with options tailored to appeal to the specific tastes and interests of North Shore seniors, such as excursions to classical concerts and art exhibitions, Laughter Care therapy, Grandkids’ Day, music festivals, and intergenerational programs to connect with the local community, such as a preschool pen pal initiative, or singing sessions with Mums and their infants.

“The decision for a family member or loved one to move into aged care is always a difficult one, and we strive to make that transition a little easier by creating a welcoming, attractive environment with highly qualified staff who genuinely care. Lansdowne Gardens is already an integrated part of the Lower North Shore community, and we are excited to invite seniors seeking innovative aged care and their families to book a tour to experience our unique offering firsthand,” said Lee.
