The Famous Vincent Court Ball in Kempsey Impresses Again

It was a nostalgic afternoon for the residents of Vincent Court, Kempsey with their Annual Ball taking them on a trip down memory lane to celebrate their early lives.

This year, the theme was ‘Back When We Were Young’ which was proposed by Sister Cabrini and embraced by all the residents. The Recreation Centre was transformed with décor that evoked the charm of the past, including spectacular decorations draped from the ceiling, black and white imagery from old Kempsey and vintage tablecloths.

The room was packed to capacity as residents laughed and shared stories from their younger days. With delicious food they had enjoyed as children on offer, such as devilled eggs and butterfly cakes, they sang songs from the good old days, and delighted in guessing whose childhood photograph was who.

The Vincent Court team also embraced the theme, dressing up in vintage outfits and having just as much fun as the residents.

Resident, Margaret said the event brought back so many wonderful memories. “I was blown away by the decorations and how beautiful everything was. It was an event we’ll be talking about for months to come!”

The Ball is a much-anticipated annual event for Vincent Court, and residents love immersing themselves in the planning and preparation for months leading up to the special day. Taking ownership of all aspects of the Ball, from deciding on the theme to making the decorations as part of our Activities Program, residents are so proud of their efforts when they see everything come together on the day.
