Navigating the Aged Care system can be overwhelming, and many older Australians are unsure where to start when it comes to accessing support. To bridge this gap, Right at Home launched its Community Program, offering free educational sessions designed to help seniors and their families understand their options and make informed decisions about their care.
Through informative events, Cake & Coffee mornings, and pop-up advice sessions, Right at Home has helped hundreds of seniors across Sydney’s Upper North Shore and Northern Beaches gain clarity on Government funding, Home Care Packages, and private care options. These sessions aim to break down complex Support at Home processes, provide clear guidance, and ensure older Australians feel empowered to take control of their care journey - whether they are planning for the future or seeking immediate support.
Since launching, the Community Program has not only provided valuable information but has also helped create a strong sense of connection among attendees. Many participants appreciate the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation, share experiences, and build supportive relationships in a welcoming environment.
Right at Home is proud to have created a space where seniors and their families can come together, learn, and ask questions without any pressure or obligation. The event organisers are pleased with the impact of this initiative and remain committed to the community by providing a safe space for open discussion.
If you or a loved one would like to learn more about navigating aged care, you’re invited to attend one of the upcoming sessions.
