on Friday, May 30, 2025

In a momentous celebration of heart, vision, and impact, Jad Haber, the Founder and CEO of My Guardian, was honoured at the NSW Parliament House on 15 May 2025 for his extraordinary service to the aged and disability care sectors. The community recognition was presented by the NSW Premier Hon. Chris Minns MP, and Ms. Kylie Wilkinson MP, State Member for East Hills.

Also in attendance were Hon. Jihad Dib, Minister for Youth Justice of NSW and Hon. Greg Piper MP, Speaker of the NSW Legislative Assembly, Hon. Janelle Saffin MP, Minister of Small Businesses, applauding a decade of unwavering commitment to some of society’s most impactful individuals.

A man of bold ambition, Jad Haber has never sought the spotlight, yet his work has lit a path for thousands. From navigating the complexities of Australia’s care system to forging powerful alliances with government bodies, charities, and cultural organisations, Jad has built My Guardian into a beacon of compassionate innovation.

“Around 21% of Australians live with a disability, and one in six are aged over 65, yet too many still fall through the cracks,” said Jad Haber. “That’s why we stepped in. Our mission is simple: to ensure every person receives the care, dignity, and respect they deserve.”

Under his leadership, My Guardian has become a pillar of care and inclusion across Australia. His organisation supports more than 2,500 families, employs over 550 care professionals, and provides culturally responsive services in over 80 languages. Jad has been instrumental in delivering high-quality aged and disability care across NSW and beyond, fostering deep community partnerships and spearheading initiatives to support skilled migrants entering the sector.

Through events such as the Seniors Festival Expo, Sydney Care Expo, Sydney Disability Care Expo, and CBCC’s Celebrating People with Disabilities—to name just a few—Jad’s commitment to community care is evident not only in service delivery but also in the consistently high quality of care he continues to enhance across the state.

Jad Haber’s impact is amplified through powerful partnerships and meaningful philanthropy. From collaborations with the Department of Communities and Justice, Multicultural NSW, and Disability Sports Australia to sponsorship of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, his work strengthens community, culture, and care. His humanitarian efforts extend globally, supporting vulnerable families in the Philippines, Fiji, and other countries. Hosting senior government leaders further highlights his national influence, while his support for Premier’s Harmony Dinner celebrates multiculturalism and heritage with pride.

Among the countless lives touched by Jad’s work, one stands out.

A young girl with severe cognitive impairment, was abandoned in a hospital with no support. Jad didn’t hesitate—he became her guardian, her advocate, and her lifeline. “She now has a loving home, access to education, and a future,” said a My Guardian Foundation representative. “That’s what Jad does. He restores lives.”

In the words of the community that knows him best:

“Jad Haber’s dedication has touched hundreds of lives across NSW. He is truly a remarkable leader whose impact is now being recognised far and wide. The East Hills community couldn’t be prouder.”

His legacy of care, compassion, and community leadership has touched hundreds of lives across NSW and inspired hope far beyond. Jad Haber is a devoted advocate for better care, now rightly honoured by the East Hills community and recognised as one of New South Wales’ most dedicated and impactful changemakers.
