ACH Group Acknowledges Vital Contributions of Aged Care Workers Across SA

on Thursday, August 7, 2025

ACH Group is celebrating Aged Care Employee Day today by surprising its dedicated workforce with a special gift of gratitude. Held on August 7, Aged Care Employee Day is a National Day of Thanks that recognises the compassion, dedication, and hard work of more than 456,000 aged care workers across Australia.

ACH Group CEO Linda Feldt said the focus on Aged Care Employee Day has grown year on year and provides the opportunity for the South Australian full-service provider to reward and recognise the wonderful contribution of their workforce.

“Each year we strive to create a memorable and thoughtful gift for our team of 2,000 people and this year they will be presented with a curated package of self-care products.”

“Our people spend so much of their time caring for others, the gift serves as a reminder to take time to care of themselves.

“We want to show each team member, whether they are providing hands-on care or working behind the scenes, how truly appreciated they are and how valued their role is in supporting older South Australians to live good lives.

“This year we are also providing an opportunity for families to recognise the impact aged care employees have in supporting their loved ones. The vital role aged care workers play in supporting older Australians has never been clearer or more important. In 1927, only five per cent of Australians were aged over 65. By 2017, that figure had risen to 15 per cent, and by 2057, it is projected that more than one in more than one in five Australians will be aged over 65.

“These figures underscore the importance of the aged care workforce to Australia’s future,” Ms Feldt said.

“At ACH Group, we believe that recognising the contributions of our team and supporting their growth is key to building a strong future workforce.

“Aged Care Employee Day is just one part of a robust program where our workforce is celebrated, rewarded and recognised throughout the year. At ACH Group, we’re committed to supporting lifelong careers in aged care. With over 200 unique roles across our organisation, defined leadership pathways and
professional development programs, there are countless opportunities to upskill, grow and make a meaningful impact in aged care.”

Aged Care Employee Day has been recognised nationally as a standalone day of thanks for workers in the aged care sector since 2018. Senior leaders from ACH Group will travel across Adelaide on the day to hand deliver gifts to the workforce at celebration events.
