Italian Village Community Support Program

These programs offer significant benefits to the ageing Italian who lack access to culturally and linguistically appropriate supports and care in their own region. The Italian Benevolent Foundation works in collaboration with a range of smaller Italian groups and mainstream aged care service providers.

Respite is flexible and offered individually or in a group setting. Carers are given a full day to spend as they wish whilst the person they care for is in a secure, supportive and enjoyable environment.

The Passa Tempo Program is active in building & developing relationships with mainstream service providers and the smaller Italian Community groups to work in collaboration to achieve culturally appropriate service frameworks / models by sharing resources, cultural knowledge, expertise and access for clients and their carers to a range of services.

Aims
The program aims to:

  • Provide a therapeutic day care program
  • Provide respite to the carer
  • Provide preventative health programs – falls prevention, foot health and nutrition advice.

Carer Support
The Italian Benevolent Foundation SA Inc supports carers in providing them with respite, Carers Support Groups and Carers Educational Programs.

Our commitment is to provide a culturally and linguistically appropriate Support Service to frail elderly Italians living in the western metropolitan including the inner south/west metropolitan regions of Adelaide.

Our aim is to link you back into your community by:

  • One on one support
  • Meeting new people & making new friends
  • Social visits/outings
    e.g. Italian clubs, church, visit a friend
  • Increase confidence & health

  • Language: Do not use offensive, profane, or obscene language. We will remove reviews that represent personal attacks.
  • Personal and confidential information: Do not post reviews that contain the personal and confidential information of another person.
  • Spam Content: Please no spam. Reviews should be a genuine reflection of your experience with an aged care provider. Do not include promotional content or advertising in any form. Duplicate material will not be accepted.
  • Telephone Numbers and Web Links: To prevent adverts and spam, we do not permit phone numbers or web links.
  • Hate Speech: We do not allow reviews that advocate against people based on their ethnic origin, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation or age.
  • Aged Care Reviews is not a complaints system. Reviews must be fair and reasonable. Any defamatory statements reflecting a personal experience that has not yet been taken up with the respective provider will not be accepted. If you have a personal complaint to make about an aged care facility we encourage you to contact your provider directly using the details provided on their listing. Alternatively you can submit a complaint via the Government’s Aged Care Complaints Scheme.
