Arcare has purchased two residential aged care facilities from the IBIS Group in South East Queensland. The facilities are St James Park facility in Helensvale and The Ritz in Hope Island.
The new acquisitions will add 122 beds to Arcare’s South East Queensland portfolio and more than doubles Arcare’s Queensland portfolio of aged care facilities from four to nine.“The IBIS facilities are a perfect fit with our existing and upcoming facilities as they are quality buildings in great locations, setting the scene for Arcare to deliver the kind of care we are known for” said Arcare CEO Colin Singh.
Alzheimer’s Australia will be asking Australians to do something different this year for Valentine’s Day, by planting a memory to help join the fight against dementia.
Alzheimer’s Australia will be running a Valentine’s Day event across all of Australia’s states and territories, where people will be invited to add a memory to a memory tree to show their support for Alzheimer’s Australia’s ‘Fight Dementia’ campaign.

Private aged care provider Tall Trees Rochdale will hold a series of free information sessions about dementia for local seniors and their families, on Saturday, 15 December as part of their Open Day.
The seminar will be presented by Tall Trees Director of Care Gae Munsie who says it’s important for seniors and their families to have a strong knowledge about dementia.
