Dementia Australia has welcomed the Federal Government’s $5 billion dollar commitment to the aged care sector in its budget, which will ensure better access, better quality and overall better ageing for all Australians.
Canberra Aged Care Facility has announced the opening of their 14 brand new, spacious and beautifully furnished ensuite bedrooms. The Chifley Pl extension complements the existing The Lodge, which opened just two years ago and accommodates 32 residents. Canberra Aged Care Facility provides a much needed luxurious entry-level aged care residence on the north side of Canberra.
Ahead of a predicted horror flu season and in a bid to protect clients, families and employees, Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) announced a flu offensive called Flu Fighters. Launching ahead of Health Minister Greg Hunt and Aged Care Minister Ken Wyatt’s call for “every aged-are provider to offer the flu vaccine to every single worker”, the campaign targets everyone who comes into contact with any Southern Cross Care home, Retirement Village or Home Care service.
Older Australians living in Canberra will now be able to access a state-of-the-art care hub specifically tailored for them.
