The Garrawarra Centre for Aged Care is a dedicated, Commonwealth-accredited facility specialising in advanced dementia care. Located in a secure environment, the Centre is designed to support residents displaying high-risk behaviors due to dementia. With a 104-bed capacity, it is organised into four cottages, each accommodating 26 residents, providing a supportive and structured setting tailored for those needing specialised care.

Outdoor spaces between cottages enhance the holistic care experience, offering secure gardens with unique, stimulating features such as a putt-putt golf course, a men’s shed, and a "chook" shed for bird-watching. Additionally, a Thai-chi area with exercise equipment provides residents with gentle physical engagement in a familiar, accessible setting. These features are designed to enrich daily life, offering residents a variety of purposeful activities.

The Centre’s extensive garden areas include a sensory garden and an aviary, allowing residents to connect with nature in a soothing, therapeutic way. These outdoor spaces contribute to the Centre's holistic approach, where dementia-specific care combines comfort, security, and meaningful engagement in daily routines.   • Spam Content: Please no spam. Reviews should be a genuine reflection of your experience with an aged care provider. Do not include promotional content or advertising in any form. Duplicate material will not be accepted.
  • Telephone Numbers and Web Links: To prevent adverts and spam, we do not permit phone numbers or web links.
  • Hate Speech: We do not allow reviews that advocate against people based on their ethnic origin, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation or age.
  • Aged Care Reviews is not a complaints system. Reviews must be fair and reasonable. Any defamatory statements reflecting a personal experience that has not yet been taken up with the respective provider will not be accepted. If you have a personal complaint to make about an aged care facility we encourage you to contact your provider directly using the details provided on their listing. Alternatively you can submit a complaint via the Government’s Aged Care Complaints Scheme.
