Our dad had the last week of his life at Langford Grange and we could not have asked for a better place. The staff are brilliant and we felt dad was safe and cared for. They all did their utmost to make his end of life as comfortable and calm as possible. All staff were approachable and open. Would not hesitate to highly recommend this facility to other families who want the best for their parents and rate it 10 out of 10.
My dad initially stayed in the secure demetia area and then was moved to the high care area where he unfortunately passed away from his disease. If you are stressing about the care and attention your loved one will receive then look no further. Langford Grange was the best thing we did for dad and our family. The staff are extremely welcoming, knowledgable, attentive, compassionate, dedicated, and supportive. The Nurse Unit Manager is extremely knowledgable and approachable every time. All the staff have a lot of time for you. Two days and nights before my dad passed away the whole family stayed over (all 16 of us). The staff were overly accommodating and made us feel at home and went out of their way to provide us comfort including food and drinks which they didn't have to. My mum preferred to sit on the floor near dad's bed so the staff made her a comfortable cushioned area to sit on the floor. I am a nurse myself and the staff and facility are amazing and second to none. Thank you Langford Grange for helping make our journey less stressful. We will forever be grateful.
This week, from 16-22 September, is Dementia Action Week, a crucial time to raise awareness and support for those affected by dementia in Australia. Around 470,000 Australians live with dementia, and approximately 1.6 million people are involved in their care. It’s a condition that impacts not just individuals but also families, communities, and the healthcare system.
As we age, our ability to acclimatise to cold weather may change. Once upon a time we may not have felt the cold, but as we get older we may feel more sensitive to cold weather. Homestyle Aged Care have shared their tips for keeping our loved ones warm this winter.
