For over three years, Infinite Care’s intergenerational programs have been making a meaningful impact in aged care homes, creating opportunities for people of all ages to connect, grow, and learn together. By bringing together generations, from toddlers to nonagenarians, the Infinite ‘One Community’ programs foster mutual understanding, build relationships, and offer enriching shared experiences for everyone involved.
Infinite Care are thrilled to share some wonderful news from their Klemzig aged care community – team member Dal Za Tuang Naulak has been honoured as the Young Citizen of the Year for the City of Salisbury. Dal’s commitment to the community has been recognised through both his role as head coach of the Zomi United Soccer Club and his volunteer work with Zomi Innkuan Adelaide, which has had a hugely positive impact on the Zomi community.
Approaching an ageing loved one about entering residential aged care can be daunting. Many older people have a fear of being ‘sent to an old age home’ and most of the time they want to continue living in their own home – because that is where it feels familiar and safe to them. But there will come a time where you may notice someone you care about reach a point where they are struggling to take care of themselves, or their home, like they used to.
