We provide health care across the entire lifespan – from pre-birth, newborn babies and children, to the aged, their families and carers.

Services are provided through more than 40 locations across south-east Melblourne Victoria, including:

  • high acuity teaching and research hospitals and community hospitals
  • mental health through hospital, community and outreach services
  • chronic disease management
  • primary care through community health centres
  • prevention and early intervention.


Our hospitals include Monash Medical Centre Clayton, Monash Medical Centre Moorabbin, Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital, the Kingston Centre and Cranbourne Integrated Community Care Centre.

Our community health centres are located in Berwick, Cockatoo, Cranbourne, Dandenong, Doveton, Pakenham and Springvale.  

AG Eastwood Hostel - Kingston Centre Cheltenham

Located at the Kingston Centre site in Cheltenham, AG Eastwood Hostel provides supportive residential care to low level care residents. Each resident has their own bedroom with shared ensuite bathroom.

The hostel’s activity program is comprehensive and includes bus trips, exercise sessions and multicultural events. A community bus provides transport to the local shopping centre on a regular basis. Other facilities included a heritage listed Concert Hall where residents enjoy concerts and events, hairdresser, coffee shop, gift shop, sacred space and laundry service. Residents have access to a variety of services located on the Kingston Centre site, including podiatry, audiology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and radiology.

Allambee – Kingston Centre Cheltenham
Located at the Kingston Centre site in Cheltenham Allambee is a home for 35 residents who need specialist mental health services. Beds are arranged in 3 Wings, all single rooms and has a large fenced garden which residents have free access to. Allambee aims to provide as “home-like” a setting as possible. Allambee forms part of the Aged Persons Mental Health Service.
 
It provides service for people living in the municipalities of Kingston, Bayside, Glen Eira (Part) and Monash (part), or people who have family living close by in these areas.

Chestnut Gardens Aged Care Home - Doveton
Opened in December 2008, Chestnut Gardens Aged Care Home is a new purpose built 100 place home in Doveton, close to the Dandenong town centre.

Chestnut Gardens has single rooms with ensuite, large resident activity, lounge and dining rooms, a library, gymnasium and therapy room. A limited number of double rooms with ensuite are available for couples, friends or residents who prefer to share. Each resident room is cabled for personal telephone, television and computer and each of the eight resident houses has a quiet sitting room overlooking the extensive gardens.

Chestnut Gardens is staffed and designed to manage the needs of high care residents who have special mental health, behaviour management and complex health care needs while providing opportunities for residents to build and maintain supportive relationships with each other, our staff and volunteers and their own families and visitors

Yarraman Nursing Home – Noble Park
Yarraman has a wonderful family philosophy among the staff and provides care for 30 residents who prefer the more intimate personalized care in a smaller home. Yarraman is a residential home for residents with high care needs. The home has just been refurbished including the expansion of the lounge rooms in June 2009. There are highly qualified and experienced nursing staff, supported by allied health, lifestyle and support services staff.

Mooraleigh Hostel – East Bentleigh
Mooraleigh is a low care hostel for 29 residents with mental health care needs. Mooraleigh provides care for older people suffering from dementia or other psychiatric illness, who require specialist care.
 
Mooraleigh comprises five small houses allowing residents to be as independent as possible while benefiting from supportive care in a safe and secure environment. Each house has its own kitchen, living room, dining room, laundry and bedrooms. Where possible residents will be referred on to generic residential services once their behavioural symptoms have settled. The philosophy of Mooraleigh is to care for people in a non-restrictive home like environment.
