Star Gardens is a leading not-for-profit provider of high quality residential aged care.

At Star Gardens, the comfort, quality of life and dignity of each and every one of the people in our care is paramount. As such, we bring together innovative technology, modern facilities and highly qualified staff whilst providing a warm, personal, home-like environment.

Our Care Services

Star Gardens has a number of care options based on an individual's needs including Low Care, High Care, Specialist Support (including dementia), Palliative and Respite Care.

Star Gardens has also adopted an 'Ageing in Place' approach. So residents have the choice to remain in their own room within Low Care, even though their care needs may have increased. However, this service is subject to the assessment of an individual's nursing needs, in consultation with the resident and their representative, to ensure the highest possible care and support is provided at all times.

Some of the personal and nursing care services we offer include:

  •    Bathing, showering and personal hygiene
  •    Meal assistance
  •    Social, physical and emotional support
  •    Medication administration
  •    Palliative care and clinical nursing

Our Philosophy
To Provide care of the highest quality to the residents of our home, catering for their psychological, physiological, spiritual and environmental needs, to benefit them by obtaining a fuller, interesting and more enjoyable life.

Accommodation
Star Gardens provides private rooms with ensuite for the Low Care Hostel Residents as does the Dementia Specific Wing. The Low/High care Nursing Home also has single rooms with a two-way bathroom. All ground floor rooms have private access to our gardens, the Dementia Wing gardens are enclosed to provide a safe environment for these residents.

Residents
The residents in our care are encouraged to bring those special belongings with them to make their rooms feel like home. Relatives and friends are more than welcome to visit at any reasonable hour, seven days a week. The residents as well as their families can be involved in the decisions regarding their care.

Staff
Star Gardens is accredited by the Aged Care Standards Agency. In accordance with these standards our facility employs experienced qualified staff, including registered nurses and allied health professionals,

Reviewing an aged care provider is a great way to share your thoughts. But please follow the policies listed below when writing a review.

  • Impersonation: Do not post reviews on behalf of other people or misrepresent your identity or connection with the aged care provider you are reviewing.
  • Language: Do not use offensive, profane, or obscene language. We will remove reviews that represent personal attacks.
  • Personal and confidential information: Do not post reviews that contain the personal and confidential information of another person.
  • Spam Content: Please no spam. Reviews should be a genuine reflection of your experience with an aged care provider. Do not include promotional content or advertising in any form. Duplicate material will not be accepted.
  • Telephone Numbers and Web Links: To prevent adverts and spam, we do not permit phone numbers or web links.
  • Hate Speech: We do not allow reviews that advocate against people based on their ethnic origin, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation or age.
  • Aged Care Reviews is not a complaints system. Reviews must be fair and reasonable. Any defamatory statements reflecting a personal experience that has not yet been taken up with the respective provider will not be accepted. If you have a personal complaint to make about an aged care facility we encourage you to contact your provider directly using the details provided on their listing. Alternatively you can submit a complaint via the Government’s Aged Care Complaints Scheme.
