Part of Videri Australia
Sydney’s Hills District, located in the city’s north-west, is a close-knit community, where Videri Australia is proud to call home. With a number of beautiful parklands surrounding the homes, the Hills District also has a vibrant shopping centre and is close to local cafes, restaurants and medical facilities.
The Videri Australia model is firmly built on the belief that people should thrive in a home environment. Traditional and beautiful homes, on ordinary suburban streets around Australia, where 6 to 10 residents live together. Residents have 24-hour support including dementia care, palliative and respite care, which is provided by a team of staff that we call Homemakers.
Videri Australia has two homes in Sydney’s Hills District:
Videri Lisa, Castle Hill
Lisa Crescent is a tranquil street nestled within the sought-after New England Estate in Castle Hill, renowned for leafy surroundings and proximity to essential amenities. Residents and their families have convenient access to Castle Towers shopping centre, Fred Caterson Reserve and the Hills Showground Metro Station.
Videri Chiltern, Castle Hill
Chiltern Crescent is a picturesque, tree-lined street nestled within the sought-after New England Estate in Castle Hill. Our Chiltern residents can walk to Greenup Park or Cecil Park, and are just a short drive away from Castle Towers Shopping Village.
New Cherrybrook Home – Opening April 2026
We have just ‘broken ground’ on our new Cherrybrook home build, on the prestigious and sought-after Purchase Road. This is a really well-positioned home for public transport and is just a hop skip and a jump from the Cherrybrook Village Shopping Centre.
Videri Australia is an innovative and world-leading model offering dementia care, high care, respite and palliative care in a welcoming environment that values independence and resident involvement in the daily activities of the home. Our residents live with dignity and sense of purpose in a small scale environment.
The Videri model is the first of its kind in Australia and focuses on creating a home, instead of an institution, that emphasises the resident’s abilities rather than their disabilities. Each home has trained staff on site 24/7, called homemakers, a high ratio of staff to residents – and is the very opposite of the institutionalised care model.
The care team are dementia and aged care trained and they are referred to as Homemakers. Registered Nurses are also available around the clock as well as a full allied health team, and social workers, who visit each home as required.
Homemakers support and assist residents with their daily needs and activities; they encourage residents to be engaged in shopping, cooking, baking, gardening – the full range of tasks that bring a sense of purpose in a normal home. There are no call bells or nursing trolleys, no rigid routines around waking up, or meal times. The Videri Australia model celebrates life, and allows the residents to live with purpose and flourish.

Group Homes Australia, a leader in innovative dementia care known for their small household model, is proud to announce its rebranding as Videri Australia. The new name, meaning ‘to be seen’, reflects the organisation’s commitment to recognising the individual needs and abilities of people living with dementia and their families.
