VMCH St Catherine's delivers state-of-the-art aged care services from the stately federation home, which has been refurbished over the years to exceed quality accreditation standards. All residential rooms are private with an ensuite bathroom.
The caring and professional staff deliver a high standard of personalised care, ensuring residents’ physical, social, cultural and spiritual choices are acknowledged. As well as 24-hour registered nurse coverage, a range of allied health professionals assist in the provision of holistic care. Residents own GPs are consulted regularly, along with an extensive list of local GPs if needed.
The social climate is happy and lively at VMCH St Catherine's, with regular music recitals, fitness groups, cinema screenings, mind games, coffee meets, arts and crafts activities and excursions. There are also a number of hobby groups to join, from knitting to exercise, giving residents the opportunity to maintain old interests or develop new ones.
Meals are cooked onsite, catering to a number of tastes and dietary requirements. Family and friends are able to join in on any meal at a small charge.
