With a legacy spanning over 90 years, Tongala Memorial is a trusted 70-bed aged care home deeply rooted in its local community. Established in 1925 as the Tongala and District Bush Nursing Memorial Hospital to honor the sacrifices of World War I veterans, it continues to serve with dedication. Home to the world's first Men's Shed, inaugurated in 1998 in tribute to local visionary Dick McGowan, Tongala Memorial fosters a supportive environment for residents to socialise and engage in meaningful activities.
