Governor of Queensland, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, last week attended the re-enactment of the original opening day ceremony of Wesley Mission Queensland's The Garden Settlement for the aged in Chermside which opened on 23rd November 1936. A plaque was unveiled to commemorate the opening of The Betty Smith Heritage Precinct.
TLC Aged Care has awarded the contract to build their latest 10-level residential aged care home and community health hub at Clifton Hill to Kane Constructions and principal consultants Baldasso Cortese. The awarding of these contracts paves the way for construction to begin at the site in December 2016.
