Groundwater Lodge is a spacious, country-style aged care community situated in the Granville suburb of Maryborough. Set on leafy acreage that was formally farmland, Groundwater has a relaxed and tranquil feel.
Here, we focus on supporting each resident to maintain their interests, familiar routines and connections to the people and places they love. Our kind and compassionate Carers and Nurses are on-hand 24/7 providing holistic care tailored to each resident. To offer a more personalised living experience, our community is divided into smaller households that mirror the look and rhythm of home, and there are plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy. With a flexible approach to homemade meals and a meaningful lifestyle program, we support you to live your way.
Groundwater Lodge offers permanent care, respite care and memory support care in private suites, with their own ensuite. Each room opens directly onto an internal courtyard or a garden area with a covered patio that has space for seating and pot plants. Some suites are newly refurbished. Our memory support household offers residents lots of calming indoor spaces and a dementia-specific lifestyle program. Complete with traditional homely touches, like a piano, country-style sideboard and peaceful reading area, this household also has a large outdoor large outdoor area with raised garden beds, walking pathways and seating.

All rooms are air-conditioned and open onto green, outdoor spaces. They feature a built-in wardrobe, telephone connection, and an emergency call system. Each room comes furnished with a bed, bedside table and armchair and there is space for a small desk or fridge and other personal belongings.

Innovative national aged care Approved Provider Apollo Care and Central Queensland collaborative The Shelter Collective celebrated the completion and formal naming today of 10 affordable homes in Rockhampton for women aged 55+.
With staffing being the number one issue nationwide in aged care, Groundwater Lodge is bucking the trend, attracting 25 new workers in the past six months. Part of this recruitment success using the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme to complement local recruitment efforts. This initiative is helping to reduce the reliance on temporary staff, which enhances consistency of care to residents.
Residents in the regional Queensland city of Maryborough have more aged care options than ever as Groundwater Lodge opens the final six of 30 new beds today at its 60-bed community. Apollo Care acquired the community in 2021 from PresCare, along with sister properties PresCare Yaralla Place in Maryborough, and Alexandra Gardens in Rockhampton, 400km north.
