Formerly known as Ku-ring-gai Old Peoples Welfare Association, now KOPWA, was established in 1957 to provide affordable, high quality care to the local elderly community.
KOPWA have worked hard in preserving this mission and today, continues to be a boutique, not-for-profit community-based organisation, offering exceptional services to the elderly in Ku-ring-gai community and beyond.
KOPWA’s residential aged care home is located in the leafy suburb of Roseville, close to the train station and local shops. Both the living environment and its surroundings are designed like a cottage with manicured gardens. Care staff are passionate about providing individual care to each resident.
KOPWA also provides home care services.
With plans to expand facilities onto an adjoining site with modern, new facilities and equipment, KOPWA are cementing a strong future.
Reviewing an aged care provider is a great way to share your thoughts. But please follow the policies listed below when writing a review.

I’ll be seeing my dad
My brother and sisters, my gran and my mum
They’ll be drinking white wine in the sun

The chorus above reminds us that celebrating Christmas in Australia is as sentimental as celebrations up in the northern hemisphere. Religion may not be a practice in this modern day, yet many understand the foundations of Christmas.
For some people approaching the end of life may be a straightforward process. For many others the process may be complex and involve an interdisciplinary approach. In all cases palliation is about care, not cure. At Kopwa's Archbold House, as part of end of life care, staff care for the resident, their family members and each other.
A couple of weeks before the Federal Government ordered aged care homes to offer staff the flu vaccination, KOPWA had organised free flu vaccinations to staff in order to protect the health and wellbeing of residents.
Yoga is a Sanskrit word and a generic term for uniting the physical, mental, and spiritual disciplines. The several different schools of philosophy of Yoga all strive to achieve the journey of "connection, attachment, or union". With the concept of Yoga as a self-discovery process in mind, KOPWA’s Recreation Officer, Monireh Sisan, engaged Yogamigos to bring yoga to their aged care residents.
