At Regis, companion rooms offer residents the ability to have a friend close by while retaining their personal space. For Regis Port Stephens residents Eileen Bywater, 84, and Betty Newman, 91, their connection was instant, and the benefits to each other’s wellbeing were immediate.
Reigniting hobbies and passions are always encouraged at Regis Aged Care. For Regis Port Stephens resident and artist Graham King, who hasn’t painted in years, picking up the paintbrush again was cathartic. After his Home went into lockdown at the start of this year, Graham, 91, identified an opportunity to get stuck back into his passion.
Aged care residents from Regis Port Stephens were delighted to be involved in the release of Elvis the green sea turtle back into the wild. The residents relish being involved in community projects and were elated to be part of this momentous occasion.
