Facility is very nice and staff were very welcoming and able to answer our concerns and questions.
It's now more than three years since a social worker at a local public hospital made the decision for my Mum to go into full time care. She had been living with us for several years but frequent falls and hospital stays enforced the change. The hospital found her a place in a facility more than 100kms away from our home stating there were no vacancies in our local area. I made one call to the facility nearest to where we live and they were able to offer Mum a place the very next day. Since August 2012 Mum has been residing at Regis Treetops Manor at The Gap in Brisbane. While residential care is never going to be the same as living with the family, Regis staff do a great job of minimising the negatives and focusing on all the positives. As far as Mum is concerned, that's her home now and she feels safe and comfortable there at all times. I am generally very happy with the care and support Mum receives and have no hesitation in recommending Regis Treetops Manor, The Gap to any family needing a new home for the elderly loved ones.
