Retirement Living
The Salvation Army Aged Care’s retirement villages have been designed to provide freedom, space, convenience so that residents can live life on their own terms and enjoy their retirement. There are a range of apartments in NSW and QLD available to suit different budgets and lifestyles. These villages are vibrant and friendly communities, and all have access to in-home care services if needed, streamlined access to residential aged care, emergency call system and a dedicated village and maintenance team.
Salvos Home Care
Salvos Home Care is available in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, ACT and Tasmania, offering a range of services to older Australians to help them live independently in their own homes for as long as they wish. All staff are fully qualified and at Salvos Home Care, it is all about personalised care with every client receiving a personalised and flexible care plan based on their needs and preferences and a dedicated care coordinator, who they will work with to create this plan and schedule their services.

The Residential Services Five Pillars of Aged Care Excellence (“the Five Pillars”) were developed by the General Manager of Residential Services, Tony Stephenson, as part of The Salvation Army Aged Care’s new Strategic Plan and launched at the 2023 Centre Managers Conference.
Salvos Home Care, The Salvation Army Aged Care’s in-home care division, expands its services in South Australia, with Simon Pavelic as Home Care Manager. The new service works with clients to develop personalised care plans, which are focused on enhancing independence, health, and wellbeing, and which can be adjusted if a client’s needs change.
When asked about his experience at The Cairns Aged Care Centre, resident Geoff, cannot speak highly enough. “You will not find a better place; it’s just run so well,” he says. “You’ve got 24/7 medical care, good food, you get all your laundry done for you. You won’t find anywhere as good as The Cairns!”
“I moved to Australia in 2013 and began my journey at Macquarie Lodge at the age of 21,” tells Kate Pineda, the Care Manager of Macquarie Lodge Aged Care Centre (“Macquarie Lodge”). Kate recently celebrated ten years of work at the Centre and, throughout her time, has progressed in her role, first starting as a Care Service Employee in 2013, before becoming a Registered Nurse in 2017, the Clinical Coordinator in 2019. She has been the Care Manager since 2021.
As the chill of winter gave way to the warmth of spring, the residents at Riverview Gardens Aged Care Centre couldn't have been happier.
