Our facility was named after long-term Coburg resident and Mayoress, Dorothy Impey. Dorothy, with ladies from the Coburg Benevolent Society, commenced a Meals on Wheels service for the elderly people in the area. Through this work she saw a need for hostel-type accommodation.

Each house is designed for up to eight residents and includes its own modern kitchen, open-plan living and dining area, and laundry.

Hope Aged Care Sunshine provides high level care nursing to 65 residents. Rooms are available in single or double configurations with ensuites. There are 3 lounge rooms, dining room and a large function room which is available for private family gatherings, meetings and spiritual worship. Outside we have 5 courtyards.
