Part of Capecare
Capecare enjoy a unique, beachside location situated in the superb south west of Western Australia – one that you can be a part of!
Ray Village offers the beach at your doorstep, with all the support you need for independent living.
Our village is designed for retirees over 65 years and offers a comfortable, village lifestyle.
Location
You’ll find stunning views across the bay to Cape Naturaliste from our village, among our beautifully landscaped gardens.
Independent Living Units
Our village offers a range of units that ensures you have the opportunity to enjoy an independent and easy lifestyle, within a relaxed, holiday atmosphere.
There are a range of villa styles available, ranging from one to three bedrooms. These villas have been architecturally designed, so you spend less of your day on home maintenance and more on enjoying life.
We also have Home Support and Care packages available through a number of government funded programs run by our village, for those who need the support.
In addition to the government funded care, we are also able to arrange private home care services.
These services can be arranged on an agreed fee and do not require an eligibility assessment.
Village Life
Our village provides a relaxing and intimate atmosphere, whilst maintaining a sense of privacy and independence.
There is a Village Centre available for our residents to enjoy, where you’ll find a computer and recreation room, a library and a community garden.
There are a number of activities available including board games, fitness classes, craft classes and woodwork in the Men’s Shed. All residents are welcome to join in the activities or if you prefer to rest in your unit, it’s completely up to you.
Home owners at our village are protected by security of tenure, and our shared facilities are maintained through a weekly common service fee. This fee covers costs such as the Village Centre maintenance, rates, insurance, taxes and administration costs.
The aged care and health care staffing shortages in WA are well documented, and regional providers in tourist areas are hit with the additional challenge of a tight long-term rental housing market.
Capecare has announced the appointment of Joanne Penman as the organsation’s new Chief Executive Officer. Capecare Chair Nadine Carter said Ms Penman brought to the role a wealth of experience having worked in the aged care and health sectors in senior executive, management and clinical roles over the past 20 years.
