HillView Merrimac is a premium aged care community located in an elevated, green pocket of the Gold Coast, directly behind Broadbeach and only a short drive from Pacific Fair and Robina.
Our architecturally designed 134 bed care community is not only pleasant to the eye, it is very enjoyable to live in. Each floor features generous, sweeping verandahs and each room enjoys oversized windows or sliding doors that frame a beautiful view. The majority of rooms look across the Lakelands Golf Course to Surfers Paradise.
HillView provides residents with the highest standard in care in a friendly environment designed to make them feel right at home. We cater for all aged care needs, including residential care, respite care, secure dementia care and palliative care.
Our residents enjoy premium hotel-like services, 5 star food and a range of organised events and activities they can participate in. On-site is a spectacular café which acts as a social hub for our residents and their family and friends.
We offer a range of room types and sizes, including twin rooms that cater for couples. We also offer respite rooms for short term stays as well as a secure memory care unit. HillView resident John Taylor and his wife Carole celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary last month! Due to our current voluntary lockdown status, Carole wasn’t able to spend time with John in person, but they were definitely together in spirit.

We have been monitoring the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) within Australia and throughout the world since we first became aware of the pandemic, and have been proactive in implementing procedures and measures which have been instrumental in keeping COVID-19 out of our facilities.
It's been all about furry friends at HillView recently, with residents being treated to a special pet therapy session in July. During the pet therapy session put on by Harmony Hooves, residents were able to get up close and personal with a herd of ponies, dogs, goats, chickens and other farm animals.
When you hear a song from your favourite band from your 20’s, from your wedding day or special time in your life, what does it do for you? Does it take you back to that moment and help you remember the day or time in your life? More and more research is showing that music can have a range of benefits when used in aged care.
HillView Merrimac residents John and Marion have shared over 50 years together. There are not many more equipped to pass on advice to a lasting relationship this Valentines Day. For John and Marion the key to their successful marriage is tolerance, kindness and being there for each other through all of life’s journeys.
Both staff and residents at HillView’s aged care communities come from a variety of different countries. This diversity was recently celebrated with a ‘Multicultural Week’ where residents explored different cultures and enjoyed cuisines from all over the world.
