Ibis Care Bexley - Huntingdon Gardens is located just south of Sydney’s CBD and provides high quality residential aged care for 171 residents in a relaxed and friendly home-like environment.
Accommodation is offered in spacious single, twin and shared bedrooms. Each bedroom includes a bed, built-in wardrobe, flat screen TVs, lockable bedside table and reverse cycle air-conditioning. Premium bedrooms also feature a kitchenette and private telephone. Residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms with photos, decorations and other mementoes.
A secure wing provides additional care and support for those residents living with dementia.
Care plans are individually tailored for each resident. Care staff are on-site 24/7 to ensure the well-being of residents.
Meals are prepared fresh on-site every day and are served in one of the comfortable dining areas. Special dietary requirements can be catered for. Several comfortable and well-appointed communal sitting and lounge areas are located throughout the home.
Residents can also enjoy spending time in the beautiful gardens where they can take a leisurely stroll or sit and relax in the sunshine.
The Rockdale Shopping Plaza, medical facilities, clubs, a cinema and public transport are all located close by. The beautiful Brighton-le-sands Beach is just 10 minutes away.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Huntingdon Gardens and met with Karen. She happily showed me around. She was very proud of how many long term staff members they have. She told me a story of a gentleman who had recently come to the facility and was interested in gardening, so the next bus trip every resident on the bus was given $10 and off they went to Flower Power to buy plants for this gentleman’s garden bed. She mentioned wherever possible the bus trips are purposeful, we must keep our purpose in life and we are always looking for ways to do that.
The residents at Huntingdon Gardens Aged Care in Bexley NSW have taken on an exciting new project, to make 100 children’s toys 100 days in the lead up to Christmas.
