Southern Cross Karinya has recently joined the Southern Cross Care (Qld) family and is based at Nanango, inland from Maroochydore, near Kingaroy. The facility has 41 beds and provides a cottage style accommodation, resulting in a very homely feel and culture.
The central facilities include a family room and chapel, comfortable lounge areas and a community dining room. There is also an on-site laundry service and each cottage has a large multi-purpose room.
The residents at Karinya enjoy enthusiastic support from the local community volunteers, who light up the daily lives of our residents.
There is some ability to provide Ageing in Place in consultation with the manager, but there is limited high care capacity.
SHARED ROOM - 2 BED. Standard room with shared ensuite. This shared room comes furnished with an electric bed, bedside chest with lockable drawer, built-in wardrobe, television cabinet and reverse-cycle air-conditioning. The room suits couples nicely, as there is a sitting room area separate to the bedroom. Minimum room size 48.6m2.
