SummitCare Smithfield’s three accommodation wings offer the option of single, twin and companionship rooms.
Our Visitor lounge, located next to the front desk, spans 49.7m² and features sofa lounges with coffee tables, an aquarium, wall paintings, centralised air conditioning, and an information carousel. Adjacent to the nurses’ station, there is a beautifully furnished lounge/dining area, where residents gather for meals, relaxation and activities and a shaded central courtyard garden is a popular spot for residents and their families to gather.
The Dining area is (37.92m²) and is furnished with dining tables and chairs, wall paintings, coffee tables, and centralised air conditioning.
The social agenda at SummitCare Smithfield is always full and includes sing-alongs, entertainers, coffee gatherings, religious services and in-house movies.
Cultural variety plays an important role. Spanish and Italian groups are among those to hold regular gatherings and SummitCare’s Smithfield aged care home is proud to cater to residents with staff who speak Spanish and Assyrian.
Food is tasty and fresh, designed by our dietitian and cooked on site. Fortnightly hairdressing services are available as well as access to podiatrists, speech pathologists and dietitians. SummitCare Smithfield also offers a highly regarded mobility and exercise program.
Nearby, the Lounge (31.18m²) includes a television, piano, and air conditioning. The Kitchenette (1.98m²), located near the Wattle Nurses Station, offers hot/cold filtered water, a fridge, kettle, and crockery. The Café Lounge (33.39m²) features a pod coffee machine, tea/coffee/sugar, and air conditioning.
The Harmony Room (31.35m²), includes a television, tables, chairs, and air conditioning. The Quiet Room (5.40m²) provides sofa lounges and a coffee table.
The Centre Courtyard (323.68m²) boasts a BBQ area, outdoor tables, chairs, and a small fish pond. The Salon (7.41m²) near the nurses station features a reclining head wash unit, full-size mirror, chair, and air conditioning.
Single Room
Our rooms, ranging from 8-10m², are thoughtfully designed to deliver both comfort and practicality. Each room is equipped with a single bed, a spacious wardrobe, and a comfortable chair. Additional features include a side locker, an overbed table, TV facilities, an overbed light, and air conditioning. For enhanced safety and reassurance, every room is fitted with a nurse call system. Together, these amenities create a welcoming and secure environment, ensuring residents experience a pleasant and supportive living space.
Twin Room
Our rooms, spanning 13 to 23 square metres, are expertly crafted to offer both comfort and practicality. Each room includes a single bed, a generous wardrobe, and cosy chairs, complemented by a side locker and an overbed table for added ease. With air conditioning and TV facilities, these rooms enhance both relaxation and comfort. Merging functionality with contemporary amenities, our rooms are designed to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere, ensuring a delightful and enjoyable living experience for all residents.
