Residents can choose between single or twin rooms, with specialised dementia care services available.
Our residents and their loved ones enjoy relaxing and holding gatherings and barbecues in the external courtyard – the Rose Garden – with its attractive pergola, giant chess board and stunning landscaping. Inside, there are plenty of quiet nooks – for reading or more personal chats, while separate dining rooms are available in each unit giving extra privacy if required.
Wallsend residents quickly become part of a warm and welcoming community at Wallsend aged care home, and are encouraged to enjoy a wide range of recreational activities to suit their needs and interests, such as bus outings, bingo, group activities, craft, humour therapy, special event days, concerts from local school groups and pet therapy. Allied health services include physiotherapy, podiatry and speech pathology.
All meals are nutritious, designed by our dietitian and prepared freshly on site. We also have a laundry on site, as well as a hairdresser and barber salon which are available each week.

In Parkview South on the first floor, the small lounge room (28.16m²) includes lounge chairs, a coffee table, and a TV, while the larger lounge room (30.72m²) is similarly equipped. There are a choice of two dining areas, the smaller is (30.1m²) and offers dining tables, chairs, and a kitchenette, whilst the larger dining space (52.54m²) provides an expanded dining space with similar amenities. Mountview North, also located on the first floor has a choice of two lounge areas: the smaller room (28.67m²) with lounge chairs, a coffee table, and a TV, and the larger lounge Room (32.5m²) with the same furnishings. The smaller dining area (54.6m²) and larger dining space (63m²) in Mountview South feature dining tables, chairs, and a kitchenette.
On the ground floor Magnolia Norths’ smaller lounge room is (28.67m²) and the larger Lounge Room is (32.5m²) and offers lounge chairs, coffee tables, and TVs.
Both the smaller dining space (54.6m²) and larger dining space (63m²) are equipped with dining tables, chairs, and a kitchenette.
Lavender South, our secure Dementia friendly neighbourhood includes a small lounge room (29.44m²) and a larger lounge space (29.44m²), both with lounge chairs, coffee tables, and TVs. The smaller dining room is (30.1m²) and larger dining space is (52.54m²) and features dining tables, chairs, and a kitchenette.
Outdoor areas such as the Rose Garden Pergola (64m²), Shaded Areas (42.25m² and 30m²), Lavender Garden (64m²), and various sitting areas offer shaded outdoor furniture. The Level 1 Terrace (28.5m²) also provides a pleasant outdoor setting.
Single Room
Our rooms, ranging from 17-20m², are designed to offer a blend of comfort and functionality. Each room features a single bed, a spacious wardrobe, a tall boy, and a comfortable chair. Additional amenities include a side locker, an overbed table, TV facilities, an overbed light, and air conditioning. For enhanced safety and peace of mind, every room is equipped with a nurse call system. These well-considered features work together to create a welcoming, secure, and supportive environment, ensuring a pleasant and homely living experience for all residents.
Single Room with Ensuite
Our rooms, ranging from 17-20m², are designed to offer a comfortable and well-appointed living environment. Each room is equipped with a single bed, a spacious wardrobe, a tall boy, and a comfortable chair. Additional features include a side locker, an overbed table, TV facilities, an overbed light, and air conditioning, ensuring convenience and relaxation. For enhanced safety and peace of mind, a nurse call system is provided. Each room also includes a modern ensuite, seamlessly blending practicality with a welcoming atmosphere for an exceptional living experience.
Twin Room with Ensuite
Our rooms, each spanning 20-28m², are thoughtfully designed to provide both comfort and practicality. Each room is furnished with a single bed, generous wardrobe space, and a tall boy, along with a comfortable chair. Additional features include a side locker, an overbed table, TV facilities, an overbed light, air conditioning and a modern ensuite. For enhanced safety and peace of mind, every room is equipped with a nurse call system. These carefully selected amenities combine to create a welcoming and secure environment, ensuring that residents enjoy a pleasant and homely living experience.
